immersion flange tubular heaters are easy to install and maintain. These immersion flange tubular heaterproducts are designed for heating heat transfer fluids, medium and lightweight oils and water in tanks and pressure vessels. immersion flange tubular heaters are ideal for applications requiring low to medium wattage requirements.
DANGER: immersion flange tubular heater are capable of developing high temperatures so extreme
care should be taken to locate heaters in safe environments. Mounting heaters in atmospheres
containing combustible gases and vapors should be avoided.
According to article 501 of the NEC, the maximum surface temperature of the heater shall not exceed 80 % of the auto-ignition of the surrounding atmosphere when the heater is continuously energized.
Care should also be taken to keep combustible materials far enough away to be free of the effects of high temperatures.
Tubular Incoloy Rod Heaters’ basic construction consists of a computer-designed helical coil of 80% Nickel 20% Chromium alloy resistance wire fusion welded to the nickel-coated steel terminal cold pins. This assembly is precisely stretched and centered in the element metal sheath, which is then filled with Grade “A” Magnesium Oxide powder (MgO). The filled tube is then compacted by a roll reduction mill into a solid mass, permanently stabilizing the coil in the center of the tube while providing excellent heat transfer and dielectric strength between the coil and the sheath.
